Statement:
One of my personal favourite pieces. I hold this piece extremely close to my heart because it captures a period of my life that felt extremely vulnerable to me. Growing up as an incredibly shy person who always saw people as greater than and above me, I found myself in cycles of idolising others and giving all the precious parts of me away for relationships that were unrequited. The idea came to me when I was in the process of recognising these patterns and having a deep, desperate urge to grow out of this and recognise the value I always had as a queen ! Its a representation of a search to grow into my womanhood and grow into my power.
